On the coast of Åna-Sira in Flekkefjord, beneath the magnificent Brufjell mountain and 15 meters above sea level, you will find the iconic potholes. From Brufjellvarden, a marked trail goes down to the potholes. The horizontal giant potholes where created during the ice age, over 20,000 years ago, and the mountains in this area have been higher than Mount Everest is today. This area is part of UNESCO’s Heritage List.
Once at the top of the cliffs, you can experience panoramic views over the entire coastline all the way to the Lista lighthouse. A trip to Brufjellvarden and the iconic potholes is a trip to remember!
